Ruth asks…
Recommend women shoe brand with arch support! PLS!!!?
I have flat feet and desperately need to get shoes with arch support, I cannot find anything quite good looking, they all look like shoes for old ladies. Does anybody know brands that make modern-looking and cute shoes with arch support? I want something not looking like clogs or birkenstock. Or probably just brands that make REALLY comfortable shoes? Let's say I tried FRYE shoes, and my feet feel much better in them. Any ideas?

Put some aftermarket arch supports in your shoes.
Mary asks…
why do my feet hurt, how can i stop the swelling (its not that gross i promise)?
so i usually wear flat shoes like keds & vans so i know that's probably where this is all coming from... so these past few months, i've been walking a lot, to school, work, etc since the buses have been ridiculously off schedule & unreliable for there own problems that i'm butting out of because it's their deal. i have super small feet, women's 5. i dont know if thats also working against me because i put a lot of pressure on my feet or maybe my shoe size has nothing to do with it IDK. so anyways, between jan & march i walked to work which is a mile-ish away from my house everyday, in my keds/vans. my feet would hurt soooo bad afterwards & i would literally have to limp or stop & it sucked. at first, it just felt like i had huge cramps on my feet & they would just spread & kill me. then my feet started swelling up at the arches over time & i got scared. the swelling stayed for a long time to the point i kind of got used to it & forgot about until recently i realized i still freakin had it like that! even after i cooled it down with the walking & stuff. i still wear the same shoes which i know is bad but i cant find any nice walking shoes that i can just wear all the time you know? so my point is, my arches have been swollen for a couple of months now & i did buy some insoles for my pumas that i wear occasionally so thats not enough, but i do walk more carefully, like i dont stomp my feet or walk too fast with flat shoes, so why are my feet still swollen? CAN i even do anything about it? its just the arches. its like someone injected water into my arches & it looks like a bubble. im sorry if it sounds gross, you guys are some brave people for even clicking this & i appreciate it. i know for a fact i wouldn't have clicked on a question about some random girl's feet, so you guys are awesome :) please help me out, this really freaks me out, i dont want my feet to be messed up before i'm even 20. so pleeeeeeaaaaaaaase give me real help, thanks :)

If you walk a lot you really need good shoes. I have a pair just for walking around the city, and then when I get to work I split on my heels. But I went to one of those high end athletic foot stores and they told me how important it was to get proper support for my feet. The best combo I have found is a custom pair of orthotics and gravity defyer shoes. They are amazing, and this is the pair I have http://bit.ly/j2X8fz I would recommend you get a really good pair sneakers for the walking you do. Keds and vans won't get you that far.
