Why do knife shops sell switch blades & stiletto knives to people if they are not legal to have in some states?

Shops sell knives and stiletto knives to people for their daily use not to bring them along in their pocket or jacket. Well if you bring one then it is your own responsibility and you should know the rules or the law carrying such bladed weapons. Knives are considered DEADLY WEAPON, for obvious reason. You can easily kill a person just stabbing the knife against their body or throat. That is why knives like cooking utensil or cooking knives are bought and sold for cooking inside the kitchen isn't it and not to bring them with you. Switch blades are very useful in camping and other outdoor activities but they should be brought not in the body of the person bringing it but inside the car truck or compartment. But to bring them with you on the street you should be ready for the consequence of your action and if apprehended by a cop what reason can you give because it is a trend now adays bringing a switch knife that is why you bring one for yourself or someone might mug you along the street and just be ready to kill him? This is not a normal reason for a normal guy. You cannot blame the shop for selling such items, shops are open FOR BUSINESS. They sell everything under the sun from switch knives to shoes to garments etc...they want to earn income and profit that is why the sell this items for people who like to buy it. You want it you buy it that's it. But as you said there are States that regulate these knives in carrying them. That is why if you are in a State that punish people carrying switch blades or stiletto knives would you bring one? Common sense right or left? RIGHT. No is the answer. But if you are worried about your safety while walking in dark corners why not learn or study MARTIAL ARTS, remember Bruce Lee, Jacky Chan and Jet Li. Do you think these people carry knives with them? Of course not, their hands and feet is already considered deadly weapon.

I recently bought the Giant MT-345 mtech usa knife off ebay.
