Mandy asks…
Mid price shopping on or around Magnificent Mile Chicago?
I want to buy clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery etc whilst I am in Chicago and am not into the Gucci/Dolca Gabbana prices so would like middle of the road stores around the Magnificent Mile area. I am in my late 40's so clothing shops that sell clothes that suit my age would be what I am looking for. This is my first time there as I live in Australia and want to buy up big!!! Hope someone can help!
Our pick of the answers:
I am from Chicago, and you should try these stores; Bloomingdale's, Carson Pirie Scott, or Macy's. We also have Ann Taylor, Nine West, and Ralph Lauren. For all shoes we have Hanig's Footwear and Ugg. We have Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks White House Black Market Inc. Opens today!! You can go to the Nordstrom's outlet on State St. It is called Nordstrom's Rack (great discounted prices)...Hope this helps, have fun!!

What are some good quality women's shoe brands (available in Australia)?
Sadly, it's getting harder and harder to find a pair of women's shoes that last for more than 5 minutes or that are not made so poorly that they kill your feet. Please help :)
Our pick of the answers:
I agree. It is getting harder to find a pair of comfortable shoes these days. But here are some brands that are available in Australia: -Nike (sometimes, they sell shoes that aren't "athletic,") -Adidas (same thing) -TOMS (if you are ordering online, they DO ship to Australia but they should be available in stores too) -Vans -Nine West (it depends on the kind of shoe you want to buy) -Diana Ferrari (VERY comfortable from what I heard) -Mollini (only if you have narrow feet and they break easily if not careful) -UGGs (they have adorable summer shoes as well) -Converse (you should check out their gladiator sandals: they are gorgeous and very comfy) You can go to your local mall and check out some stores!
