Your Questions About Womens Fashion Shoes

Jenny asks…

What are some college fashion necessities?

I will be going to college this upcoming fall and have already started stocking up on college items as I will be vacationing a lot over the summer. I am interested in suggestions and tips on tops, bottoms, and shoes/bags that are good for college; perhaps what are some easy/comfy shoes, large/durable bags, multipurpose backpacks, and so on. I will be going to school in California so I won't be needing heavy winter clothes or anything of the sort. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Our pick of the answers:

I am also in college. I wear comfortable clothing. I wear either yoga style pants or sweat pants. I purchased a bunch of those hoodie sweatshirts from my college bookstore (the ones with your school name on the front). I'm in college most of the day and I need to be comfortable. I wear sneakers because I run across campus on a daily basis. I carry a really good and durable backpack (I use a North Face Surge Womens). I have seen some women dress up but I often wonder how in the world do they feel comfortable wearing heels and walking across campus. But, I guess that is up to the individual. I do stress, comfort clothing. You will thank me! P.s. Do not forget to store a mini umbrella in your backpack (you do not want to be caught in a sudden rain storm)

Helen asks…

Why is it so bloody hard for men to find a decent pair of casual shoes?

I've been for a jaunt up town today, and where ever mine eyes look all they see is endless shoe shops dedicated to women. With a raggedy little corner for men's formal shoes. It just isn't cricket!

Our pick of the answers:

I must admit, mens shoes do seem to be having a little crisis at the moment, they are all rather feminine! But jeez, you should try being a woman - I want a pair of bootcut jeans, just plain - no rips or bells, and I want them to wear with flat shoes, not heels. Also, a plain sodding shirt! Just a plain fitted shirt without pleats or puffy bits or sleeveless arms! Why does womens fashion have to be so blooming frilly? Vampy, really? "It's just not cricket" is the most English saying you can get!
