Your Questions About Ladies Shoes Wide

Lizzie asks…

I've noticed in ladies shoes, stores like Walmart and Kmart offer an over-abundance of Wide sizes?

Most of the time I don't consider my feet to be wide, so even if I like the style, it's not gonna fit properly. Is there a reason for this tendency? regarding these department stores?

Our pick of the answers:

Presumably they have done their market research properly and have concluded that many of their customers need wider shoes. Older people and overweight people often have wider feet than young or slim people.

Maria asks…

Wide dance shoes?

I need wide dance sneakers and latin/salsa like dance shoes I am a choreographer and dancer and my local store that would custom make my old ones has closed...help! I am female and have 8wide feet

Our pick of the answers:

Some brands have W and N available. International is one of the most flexible brands in terms of meeting your needs. You can find shoes by International on http://www.dancesport.uk.com You don't need special order for W, but you do for WW Be advised that they use British sizes, which means you probably need size 6W or 6 WW. Aida tends to be wider, but they don't really do custom orders if their regular shoe is not wide enough for you. RayRose has some models that are disigned for wider feet (see descriptions) http://www.dance-shop.com/acatalog/Dance_Shop_Dance_Shoes_13.html http://dancevision.com/store/shoes/ray_rose_shoes/ladys_shoes/
