Your Questions About Womens Heels

Maria asks…

What kind of heels could i wear without killing me?

I'm getting married next sept and I want to wear heels but the last time I wore heels they were two inches and I only wore em for half an hour cuz they were killing my feet. Also I have a really high arch, not sure if that matters.

Our pick of the answers:

Wedges and flats might look silly with your dress. I suggest get a decent pair of white heels with a slightly thicker heel, sort of like this: http://www.shoes.com/en-US/Product/25818-5119547/Coloriffics/White/Womens+Dani.aspx This will give you more support. Then, as soon as you get them, start wearing them around the house for an hour or two at a time. This helps break them in and allows the shoe to naturally shape to your feet. If you have never worn the shoes before, you will find them to be uncomfortable when you put them on for the first time. So wear them as much as you can before your big day so that they get comfortable on your feet. Also, you can add those cushion pads at the balls of your feet (gel inserts for heels) to help ease some of the pressure on your feet. Break them in and you will probably be able to wear them all day without pain and discomfort. Just make sure they fit well when you first get them. If they feel like they will pinch, bind or otherwise feel slightly uncomfortable, that usually doesn't get better. So make sure they fill good when are trying them on before buying.
