Sharon asks…
Is it a good idea to buy a purse made of real leather?
I want to buy a purse made of genuine leather, but the ones I like are at least $150 to $300. At the same time, I saw many cute purses at H&M and at Steve Madden for a much cheaper price; but they are not made of real leather. So I'm wondering if I should buy a real leather purse or one with man-made materials? Are the qualities the same? How about leather jackets? Buy one with fake leather or real leather? I'm a student. I don't have much money in other words.
Our pick of the answers:
Leather jackets is good for student .. I think as a student fake leather is the same as real leather. If then are A+ replica..it also great .. Why are so many employers still using unfair double standards?
there are double standards that should go by the wayside. Women should NOT have to wear make-up or be made to feel as if they have to dress sexy. They should not be judged by weight if men are not. Double standards work against men too. Think of conservative South Texas in the dreadful, oppressive heat. Women teachers can typically wear trousers OR capris OR skirts without stockings/hose, plus sandals, even flip flops sometimes. Men must usually wear dress pants, closed toed shoes and socks. although I admit in truly formal situations men are stuck with closed toe, if women can wear cheap flip flops to work, men should get to wear at least conservative open toe sandals ( say fisherman) that are of the dressier variety. I wear gladiator sandals as a substitute teacher on some campuses and oxfords on others where the principals are more conservative (yet the women can still wear strappy sandals and even flip flops). No student has ever been distracted or complained, no parent or co-worker has either, and comparing student behavior between my sandal-wearing days and Oxford wearing days, there is no difference whatsoever- I feel the whole "the students will respect you more if you respect yourself enough to dress well" is a myth, and it's offensive that I am considered lacking in self-respect to begin with by wearing a nice pair of sandals. I wear Steve Madden formal sandals all imported vachetta leather, handmade, and they cost a pretty penny. Plus I get pedicures and have very symmetrical toes, and nice feet. Discrimination sucks. For both women AND men.
Our pick of the answers:
We all should start a movement to fix this, and other sexism in this world against women AND men. Seriously
