I'm just 18, so I don't know how I could dress professional while still not looking too "old"? And would it be okay to wear just simple, black ballet flats to the interview? Or do I need to wear heels?
You can wear black flats. That's not an issue. Especially if you wear a black high-waisted skirt (professional) with a floral top tucked into it (more 18-year-old you). Put your hair in a messy bun (adds style and youth) and make your make-up professional but natural too. Try nude-ish/pink lips, two coats of mascara, and brown eyeliner on your top lid only. It'll look great! Im 24 and usually dress girly- dresses or tight jeans and pretty tops + heels. I got capri pants, nicely tailored and fitting, was thinking of wearing that with a tight white t-shirt, thick brown belt and some sneakers? or with sandals Or should I go in skinny jeans and a loose top + flats? Anything other suggestions? Its my first concert :) Help appreciated.

I was in Spain recently and almost all the men were wearing certain style shoes. They were like these: http://www.puma-shoes-uk.com/images/l/Womens%20Puma%20Ferrari%20Shoes/wDSC_2070.JPG and they were all worn with jeans and I thought they looked very nice! Can anyone give me the name to this style of shoe and where I could buy a pair? Thank you! Gracias!
The name of the shoes are puma shoes. You could get them online or like at a mall. K<3

d is gonna turn 18 soon. I'm a year younger then her. Her mom is a strict catholic and really controlling. Basically my girlfriend can hardly leave the house. And if her mom knew we were dating she wouldn't be allowed to leave at all. And her mom basically says that she can't move out until she is married. She pushes her to become a housewife. There is nothing wrong with that. But i mean her mom constantly squashes her dreams. So she has like no ambition. And she calls herself stupid. And has low self esteem. Her mom being strict never bothered me before. Because it never bothered her. But today she came over and she was in tears. Apparently her mom is saying she can't go to prom. I mean she is going with her friends not with me. And now she is saying she doesn't even wanna go anymore. And shes crying her eyes out. And idk what her mom said to her but it musta been bad. She was telling me she doesn't want her mom to control her the way she does her sisters. I didn't really say anything i just tried to comfort her. But i mean my girlfriend has a good job. And she has older friends. And it wouldn't be hard for her to move out. She could even come stay with me. I just feel like she is so responsible for her age but her mom still treats her badly. Would it be wrong for me to tell her my opinion on this matter? Or should i just leave it alone?
Having unreasonably strict parents is nothing new, so dont worry about that. The best way to deal with that is to try and change her mothers mind about what is proper, and what is unrealistic. At 17, she will not want to hear it from you, so you need to show her. I know kids now a days dont want to properly court their girlfriends but it is the best way to change their minds. I went to my girlfriends house everyday for 3 years, and only after her parents saw who i was and what i was about did they let us go out, now we just went of a 2 week vacation out of the country, with no trust problems. At 17 neither of you can 'tell' her mom how it is gonna be, so the real question is...is she worth the effort? Would you go see her at her house only for a year, for 2. Are you and she patient enough to show her mother that you are mature enough for her to trust you two together? At 17 i was in your shoes, nos at 26 her parents are very different...but it took 3 years to get them to be that way...my girlfriend (soon to be wife) was worth it though :)

I'm 24, have a professional job, and I still tend to flatten a bug if I see it crawling around my feet. If I'm playing tennis and I see one on the court, I'll be honest: it will probably get squashed. I've never had a problem stepping on them, even throughout college, and I've stepped on a lot of them over the years. I know that some people consider it wrong, but it seems pretty normal to me. Most of my male friends don't think twice about planting a foot over some busy anthill on the sidewalk in order to cause a little panic and chaos, nor do I, and I've done that plenty of times, with no real harm done. I can definitely think of more painful ways for ants to die than getting instantly crushed beneath a gigantic running shoe. Why would it be wrong? The rationale of "I do it because I can" might be the one used by bullies, and it holds true somewhat. Does that mean I view bugs as less significant than me? Well, yeah I guess I do. But is that necessarily untrue? Compared to them, I'm a giant.
Well ........ Personally ...I just don't like to look at a squashed bug ........ Not one of my favorite things...stepping on them...one on one...seems futile... Besides ...he may have kids at home ...just doing what he has to do ... But ....I don't mind wiping-out the whole nest...if I perceive a threat ...SQUASH ! ... Roaches ...mosquitoes... Black widow spiders and termities ....Gotta Go !..... I can get along with ants ...they don't eat much...just don't come to the picnic... For the most part ....if they ain't bothering me ...I don't bother them .....

Schools coming back and so is fall...i have a lot of skinny jeans and i usually wear flats with them but im trying to find something else that would look cute. Im about 5 foot so im not very tall but i don't really want heals to wear at school. So i was thinking some kind of boots...no heal, mid calf or ankle. The ideas don't have to be all boots tho. Please try to include example pictures and or websites it you could. Thanks in advance for all ideas, suggestions, and pictures:)
Choosing the right shoes to wear with skinny jeans depends almost as much on the season as it does what actually works. Plenty of shoes work well with skinny jeans, but the best choices tend to be at opposite ends of the shoe spectrum. One basic rule is to wear shoes you want to show off. Unlike with other jean styles, you won't have just the toe and/or heel of your shoe showing; almost the whole shoe will be on display. 1.) Flats -This is a style that works best for those with small feet because the tight jeans accentuate the length of the shoe and there's no heel to break up the horizontal line of the foot. Try ballet flats with small ribbon details, metallic finishes, sequins, and more. You can even find printed canvas ballet flats for a twist on an old classic. Pair them with a loose tank and complementary cardigan for a pulled-together, classic look. You may also want to try a pair of flat moccasins for a pop of color. Check out the women's suede moccasins at Old Navy for an inexpensive shoe choice that's somewhat simple but available in fun colors to liven up your outfit. 2.) Boots -Boots look great pulled on over your skinny jeans. They obviously won't fit underneath the ends of the jeans very well, but why not show off those beautiful boots that keep getting shoved away beneath the bottoms of your boot-cut and flared jeans? Now is their chance to shine. If you're looking for boots specifically for your skinny jeans, try slouched styles or styles with detail along the shaft that might otherwise be covered up by other pants. Tall brown or black leather boots look especially elegant with skinny jeans and a sweater. If you're a fan of fringed boots, now's your chance to enjoy those, too. Fringe could feel awkward under a pair of jeans, but when you're putting them over your jeans, you can show off your fashion sense with ease. 3.) Heels -Heels pair well with skinny jeans, too, as long as they're not too chunky or too tall and thin. You'll probably want to stay away from the super tall stilettos (more than four inches), but aside from those, almost any heel type or height will work. •For a bit of 1980s flair, you can wear pumps with your skinny jeans. •For a delicate, feminine look, try kitten heel sandals, especially with a loose empire-waist top and attention-getting jewelry. As with all shoes to wear with skinny jeans, look for those with cute embellishments rather than the plainest shoes you can find. They don't always have to be brightly colored heels, but an unexpected strap or jewel can spice up your look, even if you're using a dark shoe paired with dark wash jeans to give the illusion of even longer legs. 4.) Sneakers -The ultimate comfortable, casual look features your favorite pair of Converse sneakers. Since Converse shoes come in so many colors and patterns and you can lace them up in so many cool ways, it's easy to make your look unique and eye-catching even with such a simple shoe. The skinny jeans won't cover up your great taste and shoe lacing skills. 5.) Flip-Flops -Leave last year's beachwear at home, but don't forget about your fun, colorful flip-flops for a quick go-to casual shoe when you're running out to do errands. As long as they're in good shape and your pants aren't so long that you need heels of some kind, there's no reason to skip over your flip-flop stash when you're already wearing your skinny jeans. ~Shoes to Wear with Skinny Jeans: Few Limits~ If you thought that skinny jeans were limited to the skater crowd or winter days that required boots for extra warmth, think again. You just have to know which shoes to wear with skinny jeans to enjoy them year-round. Wear them with almost any shoe you like; just make sure they're shoes you want to show off and that your jeans are the proper length for the type of shoe you've chosen.

I don't think I will ever buy another pair of women's sneakers again. When I try on mens sneakers and boots. The quality of the material is a huge difference. Is it because women tend to "shop" often, rather a male who does not shop often. Also there is a price difference. Mens are cheaper in price than women's. This is also for flip flops. I wear women's shoes, but I have to find an expensive brand that has quality to them. My feet are precious to me.
I agree that women's shoes are more expensive than men's maybe because women are more specific when it comes to footwear, ours are more complicated then theirs (we look for comfort and style - men can just wear almost anything). As for the quality, I think thats because women generally is a bigger market than men. We have a huge selection of brands to choose from, which is why sometimes we end up with "no good" shoes which we can't accept. I advice that you pick from known brands and try out which ones really suits you. Then if ever you have to buy another pair consider that brand first.

It's my Matric Dance (Prom) this Saturday. I have these super sexy high heels (12cm high). They have a platform by the ball of my foot. The fit well I do have to wear inner soles but they fit perfectly. Obviously my feet hurt after and hour or two, so I was wondering if anyone has sneak tips or tricks to make them a little more comfy. Thanks =]
Insoles can help if it is not the highest quality of shoe. The main thing that will help is just getting used to them. You really don't have enough time to get used to them properly so the best thing I can tell you is to wear them around the house from now until then and when at the dance takes breaks once in a while.

I see lots of 6" heels with a platform and then lots of 4" without which is better or worse and why?

What is the best or craziest costume you have ever worn to a costume party or seen anyone else wearing? We are going to a big costume party tonight for our friend's 30th birthday and my partner has come up with hilarious costumes for us, I was not sure at first but actually it's turned out to be a great idea and I hope we win the prize for best costumes! The theme is travel because our friend has been away travelling a lot. We decided to be a pilot and a flight attendant but my partner thought it would be funnier to swap so she dressed as the male pilot and I dressed as a female flight attendant! I thought that would be a bit crazy but she persuaded me it would be good and she is right we do look really good and very funny in our costumes. She is wearing a dark pant suit with badges and medals on, a shirt and tie, a hat, and she has just put on a fake beard and sunglasses, she looks really good! I just looked in the mirror and can't believe what I look like, I am wearing a bright red fitted jacket, white top, neckscarf, very short skirt and pantyhose! She has put full make-up on my face with mascara and red lip gloss and given me stick on long red nails, and even convinced me to shave my legs, omg! I have just got to put on my blonde wig, hat and high heels and we are good to go! It is a bit embarrassing but we don't mind doing some crazy things for a laugh sometimes so we decided if we were going to do it then go all out for it! What do you think of our idea, and what is the craziest costume you ever wore to a party or on Halloween? One more thing, if the ladies can give me any advice about walking in heels, I had a quick practise earlier but I am not sure how I am going to last the whole night in them!
I haven't seen any crazy costumes myself, but my dad made himself a german shepherd suit and went as my mom's seeing eye dog. He lapped beer out of a doggy bowl.

I really love to wear high heel boots but I don't know why. In my opinion I love the noise they make when I walk and I find it very fun to walk in them and they are great for rainy weather. I actually can walk in them pretty well and I feel great in them the only thing is that they are considered girl shoes. I want to wear the boots under my regular pants. The heels are 3 inch stilettos but I am wearing them with regular clothing, jeans, t-shirts. What do you think about that?
I hope you're trolling. EWWWW. Seriously ...cringe.. How embarrassing for you..:/ If you were walking down the street in high heeled boots i would laugh in your face..not to be mean its just the truth i'm afraid. Are you gay?

I am 13 ( Yes i know your probaly thinking WOW YOUNG! XD ) And i have my sisters party coming up, She is going to be 17 and my swimsuits wouldent fit her... Mum has said that i need to get her my own present on my own, So how would i buy some swimsuits ( Cheap if possible, I have like NO money ) and get them secretly..? (My brother can get into town if he needs to so i can get him to pick them up if need be)
A swimsuit is an unbelievably personal item for a young lady, even more so than shoes or makeup. The *swimsuit* chapter of the Social Rule Book alone is more than anyone can understand—if there were such a book. Unless she's told you exactly which suit she wants, and you know her exact size, there's no way you'll be able to successfully acquire a swimsuit that she would like. Instead, get something useful, but something she wouldn't necessarily buy for herself. Goggles are a good suggestion; maybe something for beside the pool? An iPod waterproof case, a nice beach towel, flip flops, luxury reclining slippers, etc., etc.

When I was younger, the heels didn't bother me. As I've gotten older (now 26), I often experience pain when I wear shoes with heels- which means I don't do it that much. Some wedge styles are comfortable but I buy and want to easily wear a variety of sexy shoes. I'm going to start dressing up a little more often. What should I do to improve my comfort and ability to walk better?
I have noticed the same thing for myself! I have bought those gel inserts specifically for heels. I buy the ones that are for the balls of your feet because that is where the pain is for me. If the pain is more in your heels, they also sell those. I also take 2 ibuprofen before I go out in my heels! :)

I wear 3-4inch heels on a daily basis, but usually my lifestyle doesn't require that I wear them with nylons or pantyhose. I find that whenever I do wear nylons with any of my shoes, my heels tend to slip out of the shoes much easier when I'm walking. All my shoes are the correct fit and are not too big. I've tried grip pads and soles, but it only helps a little.
Spray hair spray on the heels of your feet with the panty hose on, before you put the shoes on. Sounds weird, but it totally works.

I am going to do a "winged eye" look for an up coming event and want to try liquid eyeliner out. I have never used it before and wanted to give it a try. What is the best liquid eyeliner for a beginner to make the winged look with? I also wanted to try the new lash stiletto mascara by Maybelline, does it work well?
I use Maybeline for liquid liner. The Lash stiletto works good for ppl with long lashes or fake lashes. If your lashes are not as long and you want to use the stiletto mascara I suggest you invest in some false lashes..

I'm a guy and I buy shoes that feel good. Why do you ladies where stilettos when you can hurt yourself, the shoes hurt you, and they make you vulnerable because you can't run fast. Do you where them because they make you feel good about yourself or do you where them because you want to turn heads?
I love heels and stilettos! I think they are so cute, they turn heads, and make me feel great about myself......and I walk in them well!
